Join us to celebrate the 75^th Anniversary of the ending of the European part of World War II. We aim to bring you a glimpse into Great Britain as she was then, through the memories of some who lived it, and those who waited.

Since the arrival of Covid-19 our lives have been turned upside down, familiar and long-established events cancelled and rescheduled for a future occasion. Although our plans to celebrate VE Day 75 have dramatically changed, by means of the internet, we will now be celebrating this significant anniversary in a virtual way.

Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council, Escape Arts and Welcombe Radio are working in collaboration, with vital support from the Stratford-upon-Avon Herald, to offer an exciting programme of events between the 8 - 10 May. We want to use this opportunity to say a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the veterans and to all those who served to secure the liberation of Europe 75 years ago. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
