Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July at the The Old Tramway, Shipston Street. More details here.
If you didn't manage to come and meet us at the River Festival this year, you have a second chance as we will be at the FabFest throughout the entire event. Drop by and talk to the team, on air or just to tell us what a great time you are having. You can make a dedication or talk to us about doing a programme on Welcombe Radio or tell us about a community event you think we should attend. See you there!
One Million Steps for Diabetes UK
Penny Keyton-Hook, presenter of Connecting the Dots, is assembling a teamof walkers to take part in Diabetes UK fund One Million Step fund raising challenge.
We know that people are not always able to hear the live broadcast of our programmes. To address this, we have been working feverishly behind the scenes to create a repeat schedule. This means that programmes will be repeated at fixed times and days throughout the week. Keep watching this space for more information and an announcement of the launch of a new programme schedule.
John Turner Prize Winners
The 'John Turner' Prize was created this year by the charity in memory of John Turner from Tiddington who sadly passed away last September. The prize was awarded on Friday 5th July and Penny from Connecting the Dots had the pleasure of interviewing all three winners. The overall winner was Marley Wright for her video, Marley's Urgent message.
Visit the Connecting the Dots programme page to read more. You can watch Marley's video here.
Last weekend (6th and 7th July), we were guests of the Avon Navigation Trust all weekend and broadcast from our floating studio on the river cruiser Princess Marina and the Avon Navigation Trust pontoon. Thank you to the Trust for their hospitality and support.
Also a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated in return for a donation and to everyone we interviewed whether it was live on air or recorded. We edited everything together into one big River Festival Show which you can hear at every evening for a week at the times displayed above.
We also took lots of photos. Visit our Outside Broadcast page to see some of them.
